The Animals of Gratitude Ranch

At Gratitude Ranch, our animals are included to our therapeutic vision. Through mindful interaction with our ranch residents, visitors experience a unique form of healing that only nature can provide.

Pygmy Goats: Obi & Kato

Pygmy goats are a small, hardy breed known for their compact size and playful, outgoing personalities. They typically stand under two feet tall and are highly social animals that thrive on interaction, with both people and other goats. Their curious nature and lively energy bring a sense of joy and engagement, encouraging connection, laughter, and a lighthearted break from everyday stress.

Baby Doll Sheep: Kiwi, Blu and Winnie

Babydoll sheep are a small heritage breed originally from England, prized for their compact size, teddy bear–like faces, and gentle temperament. They typically stand only about 18–24 inches tall and are known for their calm, friendly nature, often thriving in close interaction with people. Their peaceful presence and easygoing demeanor create a soothing, approachable experience that invites relaxation, connection, and quiet joy. Our baby doll sheep were adopted thanks to a generous donation from the Catio Guy.

Lamb: Shiloh

Lambs are young sheep, typically in their first year of life, and are known for their gentle nature and strong instinct to stay close to their flock. They communicate through soft bleats and quickly learn to recognize familiar voices and routines. Their natural curiosity and early development make them a beautiful reminder of growth, trust, and the comfort of connection. Our lamb was adopted thanks to a generous donation from the Catio Guy.

Mini Donkeys: Mocha and Ce Ce

Miniature donkeys are native to the Mediterranean islands of Sicily and Sardinia.  They were first imported to the U.S. in 1929. In the US, they have been extensively bred with each other and with animals of unidentified ancestry to produce a distinctively American breed of donkeys, which we call the Miniature Mediterranean Donkey. The Miniature Mediterranean Donkey is by nature one of the friendliest and most affectionate animals of its type. They are very tame and gentle. They love their owners and seek attention. The miniature donkey is extremely intelligent, cautious, friendly, playful, and docile and is easily trained. Our mini donkeys were adopted thanks to a generous donation from the Catio Guy.
